By Plane

Naples Capodichino Airport is the closest airport to the city center and offers numerous domestic and international flights.

From the Airport to the City Center:

  • Alibus: A dedicated bus service connecting the airport to Naples Central Station and the port (Molo Beverello) in about 20-30 minutes. Tickets can be purchased on board or at ticket booths.
  • Taxi: Available outside the terminal, but be sure to agree on a fare before departing or ask for the meter to be used.
  • Car rental: Several car rental companies operate at the airport.

From Rome Fiumicino Airport (FCO):

If you’re landing at Rome Fiumicino Airport, you have several options to reach Naples:

Train to Roma Termini:

  • Leonardo Express: A non-stop train service to Rome Termini station (approximately 30 minutes). From Termini, you can take a high-speed train to Naples Central Station (about 1 hour 10 minutes).
  • Regional Train (FL1): A more affordable option with several stops, taking about 1 hour to reach Rome Tiburtina station. From Tiburtina, you can take a high-speed train to Naples.
  • Direct Train (Frecciarossa): There are a few direct high-speed trains from Fiumicino Airport to Roma Termini, taking around 30 minutes, as well Naples Central Station, taking around 2 hours.

Bus:

  • FlixBus: Offers direct bus connections from Fiumicino Airport to Naples, taking approximately 3 hours.

By Train

Italy has an excellent high-speed train network. You can reach Naples Central Station from major cities like Rome, Milan, Florence, and Venice with Trenitalia (Frecciarossa) or Italo trains.
